Towards
the end of rendering the services offered by the MCI Program in the most
efficient manner, as well as offering customized products and services,
improving commercial relations, and managing the requests made by Participants,
“TSGC” will handle Participant data in an automated manner, as set forth herein. Participants are assured that “TSGC” is
committed to complying with all applicable laws regarding automated data
processing of personally identifiable information.
Participant Personal Account
A
personal account will be created for each Participant, containing the
information submitted by the Participant through the MCI Program registration
form, as well as such other personally identifiable information that may be
reasonably necessary to conduct the Program.
Each Participant’s corporative e-mail address will be included in an
automated file (distribution list) for the purpose of providing information and
news about the MCI Program by e-mail.
Updating Your Personal Account Information
You can
access and review, update, or deactivate your personal account information
online. Please note that “TSGC” will never send you email requesting your
user name, password, credit card number or social security number. If you
receive an email that looks like it is from “TSGC” , but asks you for your
credit card number or social security number, it is a fraudulent email, or
"phish." You should delete the email and
report it to the Federal Trade Commission.
Communications and Use of Participant Information
Communications of relevant information is important to
administering the MCI Program and to provide you the opportunity to maximize the
benefits of participation. We will only disclose Participant information to: the
“TSGC” group of companies, persons authorized by you; Melia franchisees, email service providers and mail houses
that process mail for such entities.
Securing the Transmission and Storage of Information
We treat the information you provide to us as confidential information. As
such, it is subject to our company's policies and procedures regarding
protection and use of confidential information.
After information reaches “TSGC” , it is stored on a secure server that
resides behind firewalls designed to block unauthorized access. Because laws applicable to personal
information vary by country, we may put in place additional measures that vary
depending on the applicable legal requirements.
Information collected on the web site covered by this Privacy Policy is
generally processed and stored in the United States.
Cookies
“TSGC”
web sites use "cookie" technology. A “cookie” is a very small text file that a
web server may keep in the hard disk of a computer to store information about
users. It can only be read by the web site that sent it to the computer.
Normally, web sites use cookies to obtain statistical information about their web pages and to analyze the behavior of
their clients. A cookie is not an executable file. It can neither propagate nor
contain a virus, nor may it be longer than 4,000 characters.
“TSGC” uses cookies for the exclusive purpose of preparing statistics on the use of
its web site. The information that “TSGC” stores on your equipment through this
mechanism consists only of a number identifying a user, apart from preferences
such as preferred navigation language and the date on which the cookie was sent.
This will enable our web site to identify you during your subsequent visits. It
does not contain personal data or economic or health-related information.
You may configure your navigator to accept or reject the cookies
you receive, or to warn you when a server wants to send a cookie, but this may
impair your ability to use our web site in an efficient manner. “TSGC” may also register your IP addresses
to diagnose any problem with our server, to administer our web page and to
analyze user tendencies.
Emails about Special Offers and Promotions and Opt-Out
When you
join the Program, and create a personal account, we may periodically contact you
via email in order to provide information about special offers and promotions
that may be of interest to you. In such
case, we would only send you email communications that we feel would be useful
to you and that you would want to receive in connection with the MCI Program. We may use third party email service
providers to send any such emails. These service providers would be
contractually prohibited from using your email address for any purpose other
than to send “TSGC” related email. Every
time you would receive an email, you would be provided the choice to opt-out of
future emails in that category by following the instructions provided in the
email.
Legal Notice
This is
a United States web site and is subject to laws of the United States and the
State of Florida. “TSGC” may disclose
personally identifiable information without your permission when required by
law, or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to investigate or
protect against harmful activities to “TSGC”
guests, visitors, associates, or property (including this site), or to
others. As mentioned previously, laws related to personally identifiable
information vary by country.

future, we may need to change this Privacy Policy. All changes will be made online and posted
